The Italian club are looking to refresh their youth ranks and the full-back looks set to be amongst the top candidates.
“I want the new signings to have been born, no earlier than 1990. Maybe even younger than that,” said Walter Sabatini, Director of Football at the club.
The Italian side hope to buy 60% of the player’s economic rights from Fluminense, with Chelsea already owning the other 40% following the move that took Deco back to Rio de Janeiro.
