Oscar, 20, signed from Internacional on Wednesday for a fee of around £25 million, but is currently with the Brazilian national team for the Olympic Games.
Brazil opened their Olympic account on Thursday with a 3-2 win over Egypt, with Oscar central to their success.
The midfielder put on a first-half exhibition of midfield play as the Seleção swept to a three-goal lead in front of the expectant crowd in Cardiff.
Speaking after the game, the midfielder told Globo Esporte: “I am happy. I have still not been presented, but it is a big European club and I’m happy. It would be a dream for anyone.
“I had already been talking with Chelsea and I signed when I came to the Seleção. It was in the hotel, they were there at night for me sign. Everything was agreed, it only was missing a signature.”
The midfielder is Chelsea’s fourth major signing of the summer, joining Eden Hazard, Marko Marin and Thorgan Hazard at Stamford Bridge.
