Napoli are very interested in signing Tottenham target Leandro Damião as a replacement for Edinson Cavani, according to reports from Italy.

The Internacional striker has been a Tottenham target for a few transfer windows, but the possible sale of Cavani in the next European summer means Napoli will need to replace him.

Leandro Damião has emerged as the most likely option, according to Italian press reports.

Traditional paper La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that he could be signed for a fee between 22 and 25 million Euros.

The Italian newspaper also claims that Leandro Damião has already expressed his intention to accept a move to Napoli, should an offer be made.

Leandro Damião joined his current team Internacional in 2010, after spells at Atlético Tubarão and Hermann Aichinger.

The striker won Copa Libertadores in that same year, and has earned 14 Brazil caps, he was also top scorer in the 2012 Olympic tournament, but Brazil were beaten by Mexico in the final.
