Just last week, Pedro told reporters he felt “completely fine” and ready to play, overcoming a thigh problem from a match against Bolívar in the CONMEBOL Libertadores on August 16. Despite missing games until September 1, he confidently returned against Corinthians, feeling fully recovered.
Now, with this setback, both Flamengo and the Brazilian team must adjust without one of their key players. The national team’s medical staff has already coordinated with Flamengo to ensure Pedro gets the treatment he needs. In the meantime, the CBF has extended their support as he begins his recovery process.
