His tests in Corinthians, São Paulo and Santos:
Endrick tried out for several teams, and given his technical quality, he was accepted by all of them, but Corinthians, São Paulo and Santos did not meet what the player’s family was asking for. According to his father, the club was asked to take care of the accommodation for the family, since such a young boy could not be alone in another city, something that Palmeiras did and would later end up receiving back. The other teams did not comply with this request nor with a minimum payment for what the family considered acceptable.
To Disney as indicated by Abel Ferreira
At the age of 15, he was already requested by the Palmeiras fans themselves and the pressure was growing on coach Abel Ferreira.
On the occasion of the Club World Cup that Verdão was to play, the requests were such that the press asked the coach and his answer was forceful: “He is 15 years old, he is still a child. I would like the club to buy tickets for Disney for him and his family, we must give these players time,” Ferreira said at a press conference.
