Selena bids farewell to Juan Izquierdo
Since last Thursday (22), when he suffered a cardiac arrest on the field at MorumBIS, Selena, Juan Izquierdo’s wife, used social media to ask for prayers for the player.
Hours after the confirmation of his passing, Selena published an open letter in her Instagram stories, using her husband’s profile.
In the text, the player’s wife expressed her feelings about the loss of her partner, with whom she had a two-year-old daughter and a son born less than two weeks ago.
“Today I have to say goodbye to my other half, the love of my life. For many, Juan has left; for me, Juanma is my best friend, my husband, the father of my children, my two unwavering ones. Today, a part of me dies with you. You were a great person, noble, loving, without malice. You were an angel on this earth and will be an angel in heaven. Today I have to carry on for our children and draw strength from where there is none. I know you fought until the end and that all you wanted was to be with us. I will miss you for my entire life, and I know your absence will hurt with every step,” lamented the wife.
Gratitude and tribute
Finally, Selena spoke about reuniting with the player and thanked everyone who came together hoping for Juan Izquierdo’s recovery.
“From today on, I only dream of the day of our reunion and seeing that smile that fills my soul again. Thank you to everyone who thought of him and exerted strength in one way or another. Today, Juanma takes care of me and especially our babies in heaven. I will love you for all my life, my warrior; this time I had to lose,” concluded Juan Izquierdo’s wife.
