Raphinha apparently will stay at Barcelona. There were rumors of his departure, that the Barcelona coaching staff had grown tired of his attitudes and even of a possible sale to English Newcastle at the end of the season. This time Xavi came out to talk internally about his situation and it was clear: the player is not for sale. The information is from the Spanish newspaper AS.
Although the club is still analyzing possible sales and Raphinha’s is not ruled out for financial reasons, from the coaching staff headed by Xavi, the intention is for the player to remain at the club for next season. As reported by AS, Xavi understands that it is difficult for them to find a player with the characteristics of the Brazilian at a reasonable price for the club.

Another of the details for which the coach considers Raphinha’s continuity important is the physical fragility that Ousmane Dembélé has, although the Frenchman is an excellent footballer, he also has many injuries, mainly muscular, in his past and that makes that Barcelona take extra precautions in the rest of the squad.
The Brazilian winger has had a lot of participation this season, playing 46 games, scoring 10 times and assisting in another 12. The player was important in several passages of the campaign that led Barcelona to lift another La Liga trophy.
Other names emerge as favorites to leave the club after this decision by Xavi and they could be some like: Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, Kessié and Jordi Alba.
