“Today we are all wearing the number 20!” Real Madrid players showed their solidarity with Vinicius Junior in a La Liga game against Rayo Vallecano last Wednesday by displaying his name and number on the back of their shirts.
Vinicius, who was the victim of racist insults by Valencia fans last weekend, has come under fire from La Liga president Javier Tebas – who later ask for forgiveness. His teammates, however, chose to support the Brazilian star by wearing his jersey during the warm-up before the meeting with Rayo Vallecano (2-1 victory).

La Liga took almost unprecedented action by overturning the red card and suspension of the Brazilian player who was sent off in the game against Valencia. Moreover, Valencia will have to play several games with part of its stadium stands closes and have been fined.
Looking ahead, Vinicius is expected to be back this weekend to face Sevilla.
