After months of speculation, it seems Reinier knows where he will spend the rest of the season, and it won’t be at Real Madrid. According to Globo Esporte, the Brazilian midfielder will join Granada on a season-long loan.
This decision rules out a return to Brazil, where Flamengo, Bahia, and Fortaleza had shown interest. The option of moving to England, which was reportedly Reinier’s preferred destination, also did not materialize despite Norwich’s interest.

The 22-year-old, who has already played in Germany, Spain, and Italy since his arrival in Europe, was close to joining a Championship club, but negotiations stalled over the terms of the purchase option.
Norwich wanted a fixed purchase price regardless of the club’s performance, while Real Madrid would only agree to the clause if the British side gained promotion to the Premier League.
Thus, his immediate future lies in LaLiga 2. Tenerife also emerged as a possible destination, but Reinier and his representatives opted for Granada, which aims to return to LaLiga fast after being relegated last season.
Real Madrid are reportedly looking to sell the young midfielder after this fourth loan, believing that keeping him in Europe for another year is the best option to achieve this. Meanwhile, Reinier remains under contract with Madrid until June 2026.
