The Brazilian women’s national team is on the rise on the FIFA World Ranking. In the latest update, Pia Sundhage’s team managed to overtake the Netherlands, climbing to 8th place. In the latest update, Brazil registered 1,995.30 points, moving up one spot on the ranking.

The United States Women’s National Team – also the reigning world champion – is currently No. 1 of the world, followed by Germany, Sweden, England, France, Spain, Canada and Brazil. With the Women’s World Cup drawing nearer, this improvement is encouraging for the female Seleção.
