The 2023 Women’s World Cup didn’t go according to plan for Brazil, but Geyse is ready to turn the page. According to FOX Sports, Barcelona have accepted a third bid from Manchester United to let the 25-year-old striker go. The Brazilian would cover a huge gap left by Alessia Russo, who left for Arsenal this summer.
The English giants are looking to get back to glory days this season, after finishing as runners-up in the Women’s Super League last term. But the club is definitely in the right direction, as Geyse may have the talent and experience to help United go the distance and win the title this time.

Geyse’s path to Manchester
Even though she couldn’t help her country go further in the last Women’s World Cup, Geyse shone at the international level, making 41 appearances for the Brazilian national team. Last season, the forward played a pivotal role in Barcelona’s success in the UEFA Women’s Champions League with four goals and five assists in 10 games.
In addition, Geyse found the net six times in 17 Liga F matches. She was reportedly seen at Old Trafford on Monday night, when the men’s team played against Wolverhampton on Matchday 1 of the 2023-24 Premier League. Therefore, it looks like a matter of time before she officially joins the women’s side.
