The quarterfinals of the women’s football Olympic tournament at Paris 2024 are set. Brazil, who lost to Spain in the group stage finale, advanced to the knockout phase as one of the best third-placed teams and will face hosts France for a spot in the semifinals.
This matchup is on the same side of the bracket as Spain and Colombia, while on the other side are the United States – Japan and Canada – Germany matchups.

The United States women’s national team will be seeking its fifth gold medal in this competition, while Germany and Canada aim for their second. Brazil, on the other hand, aspire to improve their best result (silver medal on two occasions). Japan have won silver once, while France, Colombia, and Spain, the current world champions, are seeking their first medal.
